A god in Yorkshire and a legend all over the world, Brian Close was seen as one of the hardest men to ever play the game. Famous for facing down the fieriest of West Indian bowling attacks in 1976, without a helmet, at the age of 45.

He was also the youngest player to ever represent England aged just 18. Such was the scope of Close's career few players can have straddled as many eras as he, whether it was fielding at short leg, or standing tall in the face of intimidatory fast bowling Close left the game with a reputation for playing "hard but fair".

Made in England from Lambswool our cricket jumpers feel luxuriously soft and robust. Strong enough to warm you all season long, and smart enough to wear under a jacket socially. This is the only cricket jumper you'll ever need.

Sizing Guide:

Lambswool is famous for being flexible and durable, capable of keeping the wearer warm in winter, and cool in summer. It is also softer than the "New Wool" often used in cricket jumpers, and is better for those who suffer from skin allergies. With strong water resistant qualities, we recommend washing your jumper by hand.
